How good is your website, really?

Enter your website address and get a report card in plain English: how fast it is on a phone, whether it works on mobile, whether Google can find it, and whether it is secure.

  • Free, with no sign-up
  • Your report in under a minute
  • No jargon
A
The Report Card

Eight checks, four things that matter.

Each one comes back as Pass, Needs work or Fail, with a line on what we found on your site and why it matters to your business.

Speed

  • Loads fast on a phone

Most people will find you on a phone. A slow page loses them before they have seen what you sell, and Google ranks slow sites lower.

Mobile

  • Fits a phone screen

A site that has to be pinched and zoomed gets closed. Google also judges your site by its phone version, not the desktop one.

Google readiness

  • Page title

The title is the blue headline of your listing on Google. It is the first thing a searcher reads, and a big part of how Google decides what your page is about.

  • Search description

These are the two lines under your name in the results. Written well, they are your pitch for the click. Left out, Google picks the words for you.

  • Visible to Google

One stray setting can tell Google to leave your site out altogether. If that is switched on, nothing else on this list can help you be found.

  • Sitemap

A sitemap is the list of your pages you hand to Google. With one, new pages and changes turn up in search sooner.

Security

  • Secure connection

Without the padlock, browsers label your site "Not secure" beside your name. Customers notice, and they do not fill in forms on a site that says so.

  • Old address moves to the secure one

Old links and typed-in addresses often use the insecure version. If it does not pass people along, some of your visitors never get the padlock.
